Want to do something good for yourself, Earth and countless numbers of animals? Join me and take the Veg Pledge from April 22-28th! Once again. DairyFreeGina is pleased to be a Bronze Sponsor in this important, health changing week sponsored by Compassion Over Killing, a non-profit animal rights group. This week long celebration explores the benefits of eating a vegetation/vegan diet which include benefits for your health, the planet, and animals.

Pledge to Go Veg for Your Health!

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American Heart Association and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) all agree that there are many health benefits associated with vegetarian eating. According to the USDA, vegetarians, on average, have “lower levels of obesity, a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, and lower total mortality.”

Check out the recipe section of my website for cost effective, easy to make, healthy vegan meals. Follow me on Twitter , Instagram and my Blog for more tips to eat vegan all this week ( and throughout the year too). When you take the Veg Pledge you’ll be signed up to receive coupons and freebies from sponsors plus entry into contests – you could even win a Vitamix !

Pledge to Go Veg for the Planet!

Did you know that raising animals for food is widely considered by experts to be a leading cause of climate change, pollution, and resource depletion?

According to a United Nations report, “18% of all global human–induced greenhouse gas emissions comes from animal agriculture and is a leading cause of biodiversity loss, resource depletion, pollution and global warming.”

By eliminating dairy and meat from your diet, you help sustain the planet and our future. And let’s face it, Mother Nature needs all the help she can get.

Pledge to Go Veg for the Animals!

Nine billion, yes billion, animals are raised and killed for food every year in the U.S. These animals are housed in horrific factory farms where the sole purpose is to raise as many animals as fast as possible in the least amount of space, simply for slaughter. The animals often live in cramped and disease filled spaces.

About half the water used in the U.S. is to raise animals for food. It takes more than 2,400 gallons of water to produce just 1 pound of meat! Contrast this to 25 gallons to grow 1 pound of wheat. Take the Veg Pledge and in 7 days you’ll do something beneficial for your health, the planet, and precious animals.

So come on, take the Veg Pledge with me and countless others including your neighbors, athletes and celebrities.

So are you ready to pledge for Veg Week? It’s easy! Just click here.

Do it for your health, the Earth and the animals. Plus, can you really say No to this face?
