Hitting the Road to Worcester, MA for the Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo
The GF&AF Expos are said to be the largest and fasting growing special diet consumer event in the U.S. so I’m bound to find great allergy friendly products and dairy free products.
These expos, held in cities throughout the country throughout the year, are designed to meet the food needs of the food allergy and Celiac community as well as those with auto-immune, inflammatory diseases and autism.
This will be my first time attending an expo put on by this organization and I’m excited to learn from the panel of experts teaching classes such as:
Chef Oonagh Williams will teach how to cook from scratch with real ingredients which are naturally free from gluten and major allergens.
Jen Cafferty, Founder/CEO of the Gluten Free Media group, will teach an informative class for those who have been gluten free for less than a year. This is a must take class for those newly diagnosed.
Tom Keogh, D.Ph. will speak on “Is My Medication Making Me Sick?” Did you know medications are full of hidden allergens and gluten? Many medications have hidden forms of dairy. And I can tell you from experience this isn’t good. This class is essential for anyone with food allergies or Celiac’s.
Besides classes and presentations what else do you get with your Expo ticket? A lot:
