Where do I stop first, last and every time in between while at Disney? Erin McKenna’s Bakery in Disney Springs is the place!

Erin McKenna’s is the place where those with food allergies, celiac disease, and those eating vegan can go and safely eat the most delectable treats. The bakery’s mission is to “focus on the under served, people with gluten, dairy, egg, and soy sensitivities, the health-minded and most importantly allergic kids who are often unable to indulge.”

I remember the first time I walked into Erin McKenna’s -it was like being in heaven. I could eat any of the muffins, cookies, cupcakes that I wanted and not have to worry if I would get sick.

I’ve probably sampled everything that the bakery offers many times over. Some of my favorites include the Blondie and Toasty Cupcakes, The Thin Mint Cookies, Macaroons, Donuts which are baked not fried, and the delectable savory items: bagels, biscuits, focaccia.

On a recent visit to Disney I had a mid-afternoon snack: a bagel and delicious vegan butter made in-house with coconut oil!

Coconut oil is very prevalent throughout the bakery and used on just about every product.

All of the items at Erin McKenna’s are non-GMO and will contain agave nectar or a vegan sugar. All baked goods are refined sugar-free, vegan, dairy free, egg free, gluten-free, wheat free, soy free, and delicious! At the bakery, “all ingredients are responsibly selected and used, natural sweeteners are used sparingly. Our goal is to make eating vegan and gluten free fun and delicious!” My husband who has no food restrictions, can’t get enough of the baked goods – Erin McKenna’s bakery truly is for everyone!

Besides the location at Disney Springs Erin McKenna also has locations in New York City (home of the original bakery) and Los Angeles. The bakery delivers so you can get these treats sent right to your home. And don’t forget to bring something with you from the Disney Bakery. I always put an order in and pick up treats before heading to the airport so that I can enjoy a piece of the bakery even after I’m home. The bakery items will freeze, although those without icing freeze best.

The bakery has two rules: 1.Create a bakery free of harmful ingredients and 2. Wear cute uniforms. I say Erin McKenna’s Bakery definitely achieves both of those goals on a daily basis!
