Non-Chocolate Ideas
Traditional Easter baskets are filled with chocolate and candy: chocolate covered eggs, Peeps, chocolate bunnies, jelly beans. But what happens when these traditional items don’t work for everyone? Not everyone is in love with chocolate (including me). Some people can’t eat chocolate due to food allergies and other dietary concerns. Most chocolate contains milk so not appropriate for those with a milk allergy or who eat vegan. Some candy and chocolate contain nuts so not a good choice for those allergic to nuts. Some items contain other allergens making Easter basket items limiting and even dangerous for some.

This year, think outside of the Easter basket for non- chocolate ideas. There are so many to choose from and many items can be found at dollar stores and other inexpensive sites. Here is a list of ideas — certainly more could be added — but this list will get you started:
Pens and pencils
Colored Markers, crayons, colored chalk
Stickers
Post-It Notes and fun stationary paper and notebooks.
Flower and vegetable garden seeds
Fun Socks
Bath bombs, sugar scrubs, decorative soap
Coloring books
Art supplies
Stitch markers for knitters
Tea and coffee
Gift Cards
…Truly the list is endless. With some creativity you can fill everyone’s Easter basket with fun and safe options.

Just remember , if you live with a cat or gifting to someone who does , DO NOT GIVE AN EASTER LILY. EASTER LILYS ARE HIGHLY POISONOUS TO CATS AND EASTER LILYS KILL CATS
