Best of Dairy Free EXPO EAST-Pt 1

The 31st Annual Natural Products Expo East in Baltimore, MD was a thrill to be at, with more than 1,450 brands including 450 first-time exhibitors. At this trade show many Brands showcase products set to hit the marketplace in the New Year.

In Part 1 of my findings, here are the best dairy free and vegan products from Baking to Meat Replacements. I hope you will soon find these too:

BEST BAKING

Among Friends – Women owned business offering high quality baking mixes made with whole grains, Non-GMO, gluten free and superior taste- just like Grandmas used to make. Watch for a new pancake mix coming soon!

Bella Gluten Free- Allergen friendly baking mixes that come in a cup size container that lets you go from Cup-to-Table in no time.

BEST BREAKFAST

Forager Yogurt – The creamiest and smoothest non-dairy yogurt I’ve ever tasted.

The Greater Knead – Bagels that are Top 8 free. Formerly called Sweet Note Bagels and now found in CVS stores across the country

Purely Elizabeth – Granola that’s filled with probiotics and

delicious – the first of its kind on the market

Whirlybird Granola -100% handmade in small batches to ensure that every bite tastes homemade, all natural and dairy free with no artificial preservatives or processing. I loved the Vanilla Berry.

BEST CHEESE

Miyokos Kitchen – Hands down the best Vegan cheese you will ever eat – and your dairy eating friends will feel the same way! I dropped by this booth numerous times during the expo to sample the many varieties of cheese. I couldn’t get enough! At Miyoko’s Kitchen the goal is simple; to make the very best artisan vegan cheese available worldwide, and spread it everywhere! It’s Handcrafted with love in California — for the animals, the planet, and your health. The newest addition to the Miyoko’s lineup is European Style Cultured Vegan Butter which melts, cooks, bakes, spreads and tastes like butter. Made with Organic Coconut Oil Organic Cashews and no palm oil or milk products – in one word: heavenly

BEST DRINKS

Benerice -This rice milk is not like the typical, watered-down versions found in most stores. You will love this dairy free milk!

Califia Cold Brew – Cold Brew Coffees were everywhere at Expo East! My fave is the plant based, dairy free cold brew from Califia Farms-it’s out of this world !

Ripple – Plant based, dairy free milk made from pea protein with 8 grams of protein per serving. And for those with nut allergies this is a good option since many non-dairy milks are nut based.

BEST MEAT REPLACEMENT

Hillary’s

The creator of convenient and culinary foods made from real ingredients and free from common allergens, adds delicious Breakfast Sausages to its vegan lineup. Watch for two flavors coming to stores: Spicy Sausage and Apple Maple Sausage. Both are delicious but I loved the Apple maple Sausage.

House Foods Go Umani Baked Tofu Bar –A tofu bar similar to a meat stick but so much better for you because they are baked and ready-to-eat protein-rich snacks in easy-peel packages. Each bar contains 5 grams of plant-based protein and are non-GMO, vegan, kosher, and made with no preservatives.
