Land of Kush is the ultimate place for vegan soul food in Baltimore. Open for lunch and dinner, Land of Kush is a small sit-down Bistro with a large take out business. Weekends are especially popular so you may have to wait to get a table.

The Land of Kush menu is filled with delectable options from entrees to sides, salads to wraps, smoothies and desserts.

Kush BBQ Ribs are a popular item and the Drummies and Crab Cakes, both weekend specials, are also widely ordered. Baltimore City paper recently voted the Crab Cakes as a Top-10 Baltimore dish!

What did we eat while at Land of Kush?

I had the Lentil Burgers and opted for the mushroom gravy on the side.

The dish includes two large size burgers and as sides I chose the Raw Kale Salad and the Coconut Curry Cabbage. All were amazing and immensely flavored but not greasy and not salty as some soul food can be.

My husband ordered those famous crab cakes which are made with seasoned seitan. He also had a side of the Coconut Curry Cabbage which he enjoyed and also the Mac and Cheese. He really liked his meal but said he would prefer the pasta more al dente.

Portions at Land of Kush are plentiful and probably too much for one meal. We ate everything since we were traveling and did not have any place to bring leftovers to. Many of the menu items are gluten free and catering for events is also offered by the restaurant. Prices are reasonable and no matter what you order you will not leave hungry or dissatisfied.
