Declaring Your Dairy Free Independence

Doing the 4th Dairy Free -4th of July Recipe Roundup

I promised you recipes and here are some delicious ones to serve up on the 4th or anytime this summer.

Summer screams salads! My 3 bean Pasta Salad is an excellent choice and even made better with gluten free pasta.

Avocado Tomato Corn Salad is super easy to make and so too is Slaw So Simple.

Or try Hold the Mayo Potato Salad for a new and healthier twist on an old classic.

Many people like to grill in the summer but that doesn’t have to mean burgers and hot dogs which are usually full of dairy fillers. Try a grilled Portobello Mushroom Burger or skip the gill and serve my friend Debbie Adler’s Sweet Potato Hummus Sandwich.

Or try this dairy free version of buttermilk fried chicken. I bet you won’t miss the buttermilk. And doesn’t a grilled Buffalo Tofu Po-Boy sound interesting?

Desserts can be tricky because so many contain butter and cream. Chocolate Dipped Strawberries are pretty and always a treat. Want ice cream? Of course you do! There are so many varieties of non-dairy ice creams in stores now but my favorite is Cashew Milk from So Delicious and Coconut Milk Bars. I dare anyone to say this isn’t ice cream!

And you can never go wrong with Watermelon which is naturally dairy free, gluten free and almost calorie free. It’s super healthy with lots of Vitamin A, C, B vitamins, lycopene and it helps reduce inflammation. I want a double serving please and I bet you do too!

Happy 4th Everyone and Happy Summer!
